First Valentine with Bits

Bits can be very sneaky and I pretty sure he reads the Art of War by Sunzi. He sometimes employ the tactic, 以退为进(retreat to advance) to manage me. In my earlier blog I mentioned we decided to celebrate Valentine, We booked a lunch table for two at Steak Ministry. I think the waiter was a bit surprise that we wanted a lunch valentine but he didn't turn down our reservation. It was a modest two course meal with champagne that amounts to around $50.00+ per person. I think it was reasonable for a valentine meal.

The restaurant was fairly empty on that day and we were seated in no time. After choosing from the available options, the champagne came first.

Then the appetizers, Bits and I choose different ones just to try it out. The verdict was both were excellent.

We both choose the same main - fish. Well I don't eat beef and for some reason Bits prefer fish to beef. Healthy bloke. He will probably outlived me.

The fish came with hand cut fries and korean salad for sharing. Salad is Bit's favorite. Eyes lit up. He must be some form of herbivore in past life.

After a sumptuous meal, we went grocery shopping, in which I proceed to stress his muscles with my week's worth of food and more food. There was a lot of face palm when I told the nossy people. Perhaps I should have said, 'after meal, we adjourn to a hotel and had a torrid night of love affair that soothed the soul and inflamed the loins.'

Anyway as a Valentine gift, I got a bunch of pink roses. Bits said red roses were cut-throat. Bro said Bits was a tight arse for not getting me red roses but I actually like these roses. They are lovely shade of pink and different.

I expect the roses but he surprised me with an amber pendant as well. What a romantic.

Luckily my box of chocolates is ready for him, thank god for Nite. He didn't expect me to give him chocolates so he was happy as well.

I also think Valentine is not bad if we get to eat such good food on the occasion. Perhaps I shouldn't be too hasty to tell him I don't need to celebrate it. Rats!
